It has an electrical plug but no connection The engine is not original JX but a 1.6 td out of something else.

It's my home brewed breather trap. works quite well but i need to glue the elbows to the pipework and there doesn't appear to be much oil anyway.

So the BOV, It's not connected electrically to anything, is this the one I would need to disable if i wanted to increase the boost above 1.3 or something?
Or to put it another way. Can I just wind the boost up because this will protect the engine from anything more than 1.3?

'm not about to until the inter-cooler plans come together.

I have a choice of range rover (mounted up front) or an LR defender one which could go in the engine bay vertically across what used to be the air intake box and either rely on negative pressure in the bay or a fan. Either will be plenty big enough I think.

You probably know that a front mounted intercooler will have a tremendous boost lag...

Yep. But it is a 1.6 td so not looking for massive boost just a bit more power and a lot less stress.
