Cable Connectors

I was browsing around (looking for 12v flat cable) and came across these on the Screwfix website:


They look like a better alternative to screw block connetors for splicing in wiring, they come in lots of sizes (2-5 wire) and look neat - has anyone used them for van wiring?

Itchyfeet has been raving about them for quite some time. I use them in domestic electrical applications and get on well with them.

They are really for domestic single core wiring.
A bit tricky with multicore cabling unless you solder up the ends first.

Not at all they take solid or stranded.

Being spring loaded they are maintenance free (screw term blocks need checking for tightness periodically)

Perfect where you want to join several wires to the same point, quick simple easy, reusable, insulated, the only drawback is their cost imo.

These connectors are all common, so you need one for each pole

Cool, I'll get some - doing the heater fan & other assorted behind-the-dash jobs at the weekend (because brakes are out of stock at Brickwerks).

I think you're thinking of the other wago connectors where you push solid core into the connector and a plate grips them and prevents them pulling out.

These lever ones are perfect for multicore
