Engine/gearbox removal

Post by Dangerbus »

Hi all,

I have a 1984 1900cc t25 with a 4 spead gearbox.

I want to remove the engine and gearbox as work needs doing to both.

Can you tell me whether it is best to removed the gearbox and engine as a complete lump or the engine and gearbox separately, if so which one first.

Also anything to watchout for?

Cheers

DB

Me,I drop the lot, same stuff to disconnect save for the starter/ bellhousing etc.

Helps if you can geta crane, balance point towards back of engine and have a trolley jack for under front of g box, youll need the rear wheels up on blocks /stands to enable it to be pulled out and back.
