intermittent ebber! advice

Post by hally75 »

My ebber has been intermittent for a while. The heater/motor runs fine, the fuel pump works fine (clicking away and can smell the fuel... So I'm fairly sure it is getting through) but it won't kick in and ignite. ( very occasionally)
It does run and stop itself and I retried the cycle after 3mins etc... But no joy!
I have today removed the glow plug which was absolutely festooned with soot! Great i thought, that must be it!!
Cleaned it up and fitted the plug back but its still not firing up !
So before I start stripping it down ... Is there anything else to check before starting to dismantle it!
The gap on the plug is huge! Do they have a set gap ??
Any advice greatly appreciated

Cheers

B2L? Follow the trouble shooting and timings in the manual.

Test is 5mm. So yes it is a big gap.
When was it last serviced? Seems like it needs a decoke. Or blockage, combustion air inlet or exhaust.

Yes its the B2L
I think you may be right with the decoking !
No idea when it was last serviced.
I took off the 2 inlet\outlet pipes and they were clear ... Can feel the exhaust pushing air out also.

Will check out the manual

Thanks for reply
