Front Seat Removal

Post by peteinnit »

Hi all,
I know there's a few posts on here about removal and I've seen some youtube's on how easy it is, but I seem to have different seats to any that I've seen! The front/back movement on mine is by lifting a bar under the front of the seat and I can't see any lever at the side to release it from it's runners. Photos attached. Only thing I can think is that I need to release the springs that keep the front adjustment bar in place, but I think this may be a real pain to get back. Any advice before I do something I regret, or idiot proof photos would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Peter

Your seats don't look like VW ones. Check to see if the rails they sit in have been bolted or welded into the van?

The original rails should look like this.

They're bolted in, although there doesn't look like there's room to get a socket on the bolts! I'll have another play tomorrow, see if I can figure something out. Want to put a swivel base in. Cheers
