Prepare to dig very deep and don't be surprised if the ones you find are LH driver only and/or cracked.

Have you considered fitting modern round headlights? Done right they can not only look cool, they can be very bright and far more focused. A pair will cost around £30 and leave Hella units standing. Square setup could cost you £300+

Above thread covers this in some detail. You'll need to check your existing headlight frames to ensure they have the three recesses to accept lucas-style units (most do). The ones I'm using (which passed MOT no prob) are on page 2 but theres at least four to choose from. CJH, lower down the page, opted for the angel-eye ones.

Not much point starting a new thread to cover the same ground, but if you're still keen on square, others will advise in this thread I'm sure. Its just cheaper and arguably a better result to upgrade the round ones thats all. Read through - its all covered.

The other side of this (and you need to consider this) is voltage drop: https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/VW ... ry_to_dash" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
