Hi
Any of you guys have one of these installed and if you do, any problems ?

Re: 12v panel question
Looks good, but at only 500mA from the USB port i wouldn’t be buying one..
Many phones (etc) won't charge properly with only 500mA available.

Re: 12v panel question
Well it will because the E-Cig charger has a < 500 mA current limit built in, to prevent the fag's battery going BANG

Re: 12v panel question
If I want to power anything more powerful I use the socket on the dash.

Powered amongst other thing like the sat nav and dash cam by a 5A 12V-5V regulator.

For the cost of the stuff from China it is not really worth making up anything yourself now.

Re: 12v panel question
thanks guys,
thats looks pretty neat on your dash bigherb.
I saw some on ebay indeed for cheap as chips, I was just going to mount it in the dash so I wanted something with a nice finish, plus the battery meter was an added plus.
I might be better off installing seperate 12v and usb sockets like yours

Re: 12v panel question
Yes, most of them can output 1 Amp, (usually referred to as 1,000 mA for some odd reason).Toc wrote:what's the standard ghost, is it 1a?ghost123uk wrote:Looks good, but at only 500mA from the USB port i wouldn’t be buying one..
