Eventually need a Diesel engine for my doka project if contacting donor vehicle owner can they tell from their log book what engine code they have ie aaz 1y etc etc

Yes if it's oe engine fitted. If not, ask for a snappy snap.

All you need to know is turbo or NA and if it's cable or fly by wire :ok
