Backfire and White Smoke

Post by kungfuontoast »

Hi everyone, this is all I could find on the Wiki that closely matches what happened yesterday:

https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Al ... hite_smoke" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

However, I've got a 1.9 dg watercooled any ideas to whether this would be the same root cause?

Any comments appreciated!

Thanks
James

Almost sounds as though its trying to run on petrol and LPG at the same time, regardless of switch position. You could turn the LPG off at the tank to check.

hmm,

I've got a friend of mine coming over to take a look with me, he works on lpg so I'll give it a try.

Seems strange though definitely. I'll let you know what we find!

Re: Backfire and White Smoke - SORTED

Issue found was the dip stick not reading properly for some reason and too much oil so what seemed to be steam in the exhaust fumes was more bluey grey.

It seems to have been caught in time and dealt with so the creature purrs again!

Never heard of that causing a backfire, but at least it appears to be sorted :)
