broken mystery headlight, need replacement

Post by Zaloopa »

Ok folks, a rock hit my headlight and it has a giant hole in it now. It is a 1986 multivan weekender from somewhere in Europe . IT has the jx engine and 5 speed transmission and round headlights with two bulbs inside. Hella brand h4 E1 20. Other numbers on the headlight are: 14551R7, 14551R20, 34495R20, and 306 115 367 made in germany. Where the heck do I get a replacement? I want 2 of em in case I break another. Oh did I mention I live in Canada and someone actually imported this van here. I have found parts before both in the UK and Germany but this headlight seems to be a mystery, I need a little help

Thanks a bunch
Zoe

No luck posting closer to home actually. I have had a few parts I needed to order from abroad. Where would you go to get this part? I will check them out

Thanks,

Come to think of it I do have a set of LHD 7" Hellas and mounting brackets. I can get a price for shipping later today if you are interested.

I have a choice of shipping agents who use the usual big carriers: TNT, DHL, UPS, Parcelforce worldwide etc etc

European lamps usually have the little sidelight bulb holder (90 degree bayonet)
I will have to do that next week, not going into work this weekend.

Rear view of standard round H4 showing the sidelight bulb, these are RHD, left is origional right is what you buy now as a replacement, slightly differerent metalwork but fits the same.

E D I T, looks like you can buy just the origional headlight ( no frame) from Gunzl (asume lhd as german company) with worldwide shipping, pricey though at 90 euros and 30 euros shipping

Well thank you all, this is indeed why I posteed this here. These may be standard issue in europe ( my van is a euro spec van) it is not stadard issue in north america. Many a mechanic has told me I cannot find a replacement and yet you refer me quick because it is standard.....thank you so much. It is much appreciated
