Early steel coolant pipes

Post by captain Byrne »

Hi,
Anyone know if you can still get the steel pipes that connect to the long flow/return rubber hoses on the engine end. Just had a look underneath & they look dangerously rusty but can's seem to find anyone selling them.
Cheers.

Not sure they do. I don't need the full length stainless steel sections just the short bits going from the long hose to engine.
Cheers.

I bought mine from Coolair VW and it was a really good fit. They stock all the stainless pipes you need. Link below

you need to make it clear what you need

from factory the go from below the radiator to the engine bay 1 piece each.

if you don't have full length pipe then they have previously been repaired!

Ok - that makes sense. I reckon they've been repaired at some time in the past and some rubber hose bits have been replaced with steel. Thanks for clearing that up.
