While checking the van for leaks the other day I noticed water running down the location shown in the picture below.
Does anyone know a likely cause for this leak? It's on a Hi-top with bodged, sealed and covered over gutters. I did run a bead of silicone along the paint gaps etc last week and I think I got them all.
Cheers, Dave.

A lot of hitops are now completely rotten underneath, you may find water is getting that way?

Yep, Mine is completely rotten front to back, but the gutters have been plated over so they are supposedly watertight. I couldn't see any moisture in there the other day but did notice this steady drip which I thought a bit odd.

its not really going to be coming from anywhere else, any slight crack in your repairs and water will wick in. If you have windows in the hitop it could be coming in through the rubbers. water only runs downhill, so it must be coming in from above that point in your pic

Went out tonight and had a close look at the Hi-top, there are some tiny fractures at the front passenger side which look like they could be allowing water to seep in, especially since they are on the 'corrugated' section which acts like a gutter.
Already siliconed over a couple of quite large cracks on the top of the roof but will have to see to these new ones tomorrow.
Dave.
