Electric hook up

Post by Kenton »

Hi, any idea if the control unit in the picture (hopefully) attached can be reused when we get the van hooked up for mains electric hook up?

Mrs A spoke to a guy (Terry from Canvey Island) and he said we'd need a zig unit. Will this work and if not what do I need to google to find the right zig unit?

Thanks in advance!!

Terry from Canvey Island is talking out of his rear orifice! That unit does exactly what the small Zig units do!!!! Other types of Zig have a built in charger and things.
Someone from Essex is trying to take you for a ride.
That unit has most probably been working for 20 odd years and will give another 20. Why on earth is he saying to change it?
Have you connected the mains via a hook up lead and tried it?

I would get a small intelligent battery charger and permanently wire it to the leisure battery. Then you can forget the amount of power you are using when on mains.
