Hi, I have a 1988 high top Trident Autosleeper and I need to access the bodywork behind the rear wardrobe. I removed the three screws inside the cupboard and the two holding it to the floor but it still will not budge. Are there any hidden screws perhaps under the side larder bottom? I haven't been able to lift the bottom of my larder as it has got damp and expanded so before drastic surgery I would like to know how the cupboard is fixed in. I did find a video or blog a while ago telling me how to do this but sadly lost the link.
I searched this forum but not found an answer. I have also posted on Autosleepers forum.
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Autosleeper Trident removal of interior
Problem solved. Called Autosleeper, they had no idea and were not very helpful but van is very old. The problem was definitely at the top and so I ran a thin spatula along the gap between the top of the wardrobe unit and the overhead locker until I found two screws. Despite trying to find these by looking in the locker with a torch and feeling my way the screw heads were buried in the carpet lining. A short stubby screw driver was needed to remove the screws and hey presto out came the unit. I have a pic showing the two screws but I expect they are different in each van as not position critical but they are there...! How do you add pics on here?
When replacing I will use cup washers so they are more obvious to any new owner. Condition behind was not as bad as expected. Bit of rot above offside wheel-arch and under wing but it has not ventured far so I hope I can get that fixed easily. That is once I get my engine back from VW Engine Co. I hope this helps someone else as I had no replies elsewhere.
