Dashboard textured paint

Post by silverbullet »

Further to some dash panel mods, does anyone know if there is a paint available that is good match?

Its definitely plastic, judging by the smell when I put the flap wheel to it. Polyester I would guess?

Otherwise I will have to default to body colour 8)

You can get textured polyester powder coatings, perhaps phone around local powder coaters see if they can get hold of the powder at reasonable cost.

You could use stone chip protect paint.
It tends to have the ripple orange peel effect / finish and then you can paint over it in the colour of your choice.
Or
Use some Rustoleum Combicolour - Roller it on, and again you should get a textured finish.
Or
for a really smart look, try covering the dash in a vynide / pvc / leatherette fabric.

Maybe one day I might get it finished

Still fancy going body colour so far... Capri Blau with black fittings would lool smart. Maybe in a satin finish so it doesnt reflect too much? Hmm...
