Dip stick oil temp gauge

Hi all,
My van is a 2.0 Aircooled. It had an oil temp dip stick fitted but I can't seem to find one to replace it. All the ones on just kampers seem to say not for cu engine? Anyone got any ideas?

Just read up on it..seems dip stick senders are not long enough?! and read too high!
What about using a sump sender [drain plug]?
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

Looks ok..check that it is the correct one for your gauge.
I had a dipstick sender on my 1600 air cooled van but a 170deg c gauge so it didn't read right [read too high!]
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

I've got a vdo gauge on mine so hopefully that will fit, I feel a google coming on!
