Hightop and fridge

Post by Tobias13 »

A'noon all,

I appreciate the high top has been covered alot but each case slightly different I guess!

So am in the middle of doing out the interior and have noticed water inside where the high top meets the van, when appears with the cover on!!

So have trolled the forum and read this topic, which was very useful!

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=137620" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So after some advice please, as shown in the picks do you think it's just a sealant issue, body works is very good from what I can see inside and out, which leads me to two q's:

1: can I apply sealant or silkaflea over the top completely filling the gutter and blasting waxol inside ?
2: if no to q one, how the hell do i take the roof off and put back on! Not really daunted at the thought just want a guide so I get it right!!

Oh, and one last question, can I reduce the length of the fridge flue, I want to make the kitchen unit narrower but is dictated by the fridge at the moment, if so can i use flexi hose equivalent??

Don't know about roof, but the fridge flue should be venting through the side of the van, otherwise there is a danger of CO buildup. Usually two grilles in the van side behind the fridge for air circulation
as well.

That's a relief...
No problem shortening it, the flue on my fridge is a lot shorter than your one.
