Hi,
I used a compression tester today, result was between 2-3 PSI on all 4 cyclinders, cold engine..Now seeing some of the other posts on here the reading seems low down...
The van runs pretty damn well to be honest, had a blast around the airfield and it was flying along at 60 no bother...exhausts a little sooty at the mo, thats the only concern. No misfires or anything....a tad lumpy on start up....acceleration is fine...
Anyhow - is a low reading and a van running ok possible or would the van run like a pig....
Thoughts ?

Re: Compression tests....low....
Can run like a pig if readings vary enormously but readings below spec across all four not unusual on an old engine. If it runs ok, leave well alone.

As above if it runs ok and everything else is in order, just live with it. Mine has a low comp on one cylinder and has since I bought it . Ive since done well over 15 thou miles on it.
