seat belts

having just got a bus can i fit any inertia seat belts on the seats or do they have to be vw ?
at the moment the seats have static belts attached to the metal frames of the seats.

They list three point belts to fit most vans.

What was/is your van? Carravelles/ microbuses had seatbelt anchorage points, otherwise you need to drill and use spreader plates.

I'm surprised that your van has got static belts fitted as opposed to inertia reel. If I were you I'd take TonyTech's advice & get a new seat belt from Just Kampers. I bought one off them a couple of months ago. It's very difficult to find retailers who sell seat belts. Certainly there are none listed in the Bolton area yellow pages nowadays, whereas years ago there was Britax & Marston Radiator Services who both manufactured/sold seatbelts.
