Hey there,
I have a 1991 T3 Caravelle - it used to have central locking with a fob, but when I sold it the new owners lost the fob and so continued to just use the key to lock/unlock doors. 6 years later, I've bought my the van back off them! ...I've noticed the sliding door takes a good few times to actually close properly...it doesnt look like its dropped, and it slides well - its something to do with when it makes contact with the actual 'lock mechanism' i think?
Im not an expert so its just observation, but im sure it only locks when I manually pull up the locks on the passenger and drivers door?
Could it be something to do with the central locking??
Thanks! Emma...oh and also, what can i do to get the central locking back? (fob)

Re: Sliding door and central locking.
Might just be the catch at the back of the door needing adjustment, so it really goes "home" and makes contact.
I have seen one that had stretched/bowed the body of the lock because of repeated slamming and all it needed was the screws tightening...
