where is the turbo?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

where is the turbo?

Post by killerme »

I posted this query a while back but no-one picked it up because it was sort of hidden at the end of someone else's thread.
1st question: I would like to replace the vacuum wastegate actuator (see red circle) but can't seem to find one anywhere. Anyone got any ideas?

2nd question: my engine is supposed to be a 1.6 TD. Can anyone indicate which bit of the photo is the turbo? (As you can see - engines are not my forte!)

cheers

turbo is down below the air filter. Follow the exhaust from back box towards the engine. The exhaust attaches to the turbo

Thanks. Much appreciated on both counts. Sheesh though! 180 quid for that little thing. Perhaps I should change my question to "does anyone know where I can get a cheap LDA?" At least I know what it is called now. Do you think a second hand one would be a bad idea?
