silicon Hoses

Post by Devs »

I have had the bright idea to maybe try and source a company that can produce silicon hoses to replace my standard VW Hoses, just to give me that little extra piece of mind whilst sitting in traffic next summer.

Does anyone on here know of any companies that supply silicon hoses for the early DJ hose configuration? if i contact a few companies and can get them to sort a group buy offer would anyone else be interested?

Cheers

Nice Idea,,,,,

Devs,,,,,I like your way of thinking but I would have thought one of the established companies would have covered this idea if they thought there was any maket out there.

For example I have just recently replaced the metal pipe which runs around the inside of the engine hatch, this pipe has a number of hoses connecting the engine,........it is supposed to aid the bleeding process when refilling the cooling system.........Anyway all the hoses needed replacing so I simply didn't bother trying to get them from any recognised out let (VW or other) but used any thing from another source which was of a similar diameter and length.

I am sure alternatives are available even if the genuine items are no longer available......
