What fridge for T25 Devon interior

Post by DanP »

I have a t25 devon interior, which I am using as a template to make my own interior units. I was intending on using the same fridge location and cut out, and getting a fridge to fit. Before I go ahead with this plan, I need to know what the standard fridge was (assume Electrolux) and whether they are still available.

If anyone can enlighten me on the fridge model used, I would be grateful.

Thanks

Looking at the photos on this site it does indeed look like an Electrolux, possibly an RM122. Electrolux are now Dometic, and you can still buy a model called an RM122, e.g. here, and the dimensions look to be the same as my original Electrolux RM122.

Many thanks :ok , thought it might be the smaller 1 cu ft fridge, but wasn't sure. - Need to keep an eye out for a reasonable used one.

Assume the RM123 is the 3 way version ? - as would prefer to have 240v option if possible.

Yes, JK also list the RM123 3-way, which has the same dimensions. I've got a 1983 Viking conversion that used a 3-way version of the RM122 - I think it was an optional extra to add the 240V element - so you might find a second hand one of those I guess.

The fridge that came out of my devon was an RM122-B. It was a two way gas/12volt with the ignitor on the bottom left corner. It used a polished bit of aluminium that was accessed via a flap as a mirror to see if the gas had ignited or not. I still have it and can pull it out of the shed if you require dimensions.
