Change engine

Post by tommin »

Hi, just throwing this out there to see if anyone has done one or if know if it can be done? I have oppurtunity to get a Polo 1.9sdi engine AEF.-99 and wonder if this can be fitted to our beloved T25 1.6TD 89. What would the work involve if it could be done?

I don't have any knowledge with that engine, although it looks a straight swap, size and dimension wise. It may depend on the wiring.

I have an AEF engine in mine. It's great.

There is a complete guide to the conversion at http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/16cs- ... ine#413096" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Any queries, and I'll be happy to answer.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
