Sliding door catch

Post by what2do »

For some time now (ages to be honest), my door needs a bit of a technique to close it. When it's open, held by the catch and I want to close it I have to do the following: turn the handle, like normal and then put pressure on the door as if pushing it to the rear and then sliding it towards the front to close it. If I try to turn the handle and push towards the front, it wont move as it's still held firmly by the catch. Thoughts please. Thanks, mitch.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Job done. The door was a touch low. 3 bolts later and the jib's a good 'un. Even greased the top runner to keep that Itchy chap happy. Him and his lubes. Even took the panels off (cover the slider track), just so I could replace the self tappers with some nice stainless ones. Top priority job as I'm sure you'll agree itchy!!!!

Ha bloody ha, I was waiting for you to ask. Grease has been applied to the track and no, it no longer 'grates'.

Touché!!
