Cableway.......Between Front bullhead and Door

Post by GrahamL »

Hi,
Not sure if this should be in another section but........
I am currently putting together my van and without prior knowledge I need to know how the semi- flexible tubular housing for speaker and electric mirror cables is fastened at either end, to the front bulkhead or door.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Regards
Graham

They just push in to the pre made holes in door and bulkhead, each end is like a grommet.

Hi,
Yes.....the nineteenth photo in shows the semi rigid housing, all though it emerges from the bulkhead through a square hole and will (possibly) terminate onto another square hole in the door.

Read what I've said , have a look in your door ,is there a circular cut out to take the end ,same in the bulkhead , now to save us all a lot of guessing , why don't you take some pickies of the inside of your door ,also the bulkhead and also the part you have doe a joiner

Fitted them to most of my vans. They all appeared to have the holes from factory covered in what looked like a round piece of sticky paper/gaffe tape that had been over painted. Difficult to see, put if you get a finger or two in, you can often find the hole :run

i can't really make much sense of those pics.. But here is some pics of mine.
1st pic shows it going into the door opening, and as you can see there is a hole it pushes into
Image
2nd pic is where it comes up into the bulkhead area

Hi,
Thanks for the photo's.
Am I correct in thinking beyond the pair of square apertures there are large circular holes where the semi- flexible hosing secures too?
Oh.....
Has anyone got a pair of the following

yes, round holes. you can see them clearly in my pics. If you have one of the rubber conduits, just look at the ends, its pretty obvious how they secure
