Brake servo vacuum.

Last one for today.

I think I have traced the dodgy brakes to the part circled below with the arrow pointing to it. It's like a T-Piece between carbs I think to create a vacuum for the servo. It's really perished and I can hear it hissing. The circle on the right is just where there is a threaded hole with nothing in it, should there be?

The link to the tee doesn't work?
When you replace it, you might need to set-up the mixture. It might have been fiddled with to over-come the weak mixture the leaking elbow has been causing.

The hole looks like its where the throttle damper should be? It's the round thing on the left of this picture.

Would you adjust the mixture using a colour tune?

Yep that is the part that is missing. What does it do?

Doh. Doesn't work again. It is a JK part with part number J10772

That's the right part. Check the elbow under the other carb as well in case that's perished as well.

Setting up air-cooled carbs is a bit of an art. Have a look for Sarran's videos and the Ratwell web-site for an idea of what's involved.
