Having had my van a month I wont be going away till summer now is there anyway/where I can test if the hook up is working as I don't want to get to a site only to find problems

you can buy an adaptor that plugs in the house and the other end to the vans power lead.jk do them i think.

Make up a short lead with a fused 3 pin plug on one end and a female blue plug on the other, then you can use your standard site hook-up lead anytime, just plug into your adapter at home, or use as normal on site
Saves any wiring / unwiring.
Keep it real.
