Hi dont know if any one can help but our van wont start once the engine is hot so if you go on long journeys and stop for a short time or stall it the van wont start until the engine has cooled right down its a 1.9 petrol.

And if you pump the accelerator a couple of times before starting?

hi it turns over just wont fire up, it all started after it over heated going up a mountain in scotland. tried pumping the accelerator still wouldnt start.

ummm, sounds like fuel evaporation to me, has the water sys been bled properly sine it overheated?

Could be the over temp switch in the waterpipe.. (never actually seen one work though)..
As Mocki says.. could well be air in the system allowing it to "boil" locally...
this could make the switch work....
