Fitting an awning rail/track to westy hightop

Hi y'all, has anyone fitted an awning rail? I have a west hightop, but don't really want to drill holes into the van, so I was planning to stick down a plastic/rubber awning rail to the inside of the gutter with waterproof adhesive. I can't imagine this will cause any issues, but if anyone has any experience of fitting an awning rail your advice is welcomed! Cheers

I, too, don't want to drill the van, so I compromised with a figure of 8 keder strip. It's not a perfect seal, and you need to be careful clipping it on and taking it off - But it WORKS!
