Will SS exhaust fit DJ?

Hi

Quick question - I need a complete exhaust for a 2.1 DJ engine. Been offered an exhaust from a 2.1 SS engine - will it fit? Have tried searching the forum, google, parts suppliers, etc but any search with SS exhaust = stainless steel..

Does the SS not stand for "Speed Shop" as they make exhausts, out of stainless too lol

The SS 2.1 is perhaps closest to an 2.1 MV, both using Digiphant injection 7 both originally fitted with a CAT but physically (as far as the exhaust goes) all are interchangeable as long as non synro.
You may need a Lambda Boss mount 'pre-silencer' to retain the oxygen sensor detection.


Some stainless steel exhausts limit access space to the oil filter and those fitted with an oil cooler (like yours) may require the use of a shorter oil filter ...VW Polo is normally favoured.
