Re: Petrol Rev counter tdi conversion ??
I have an ALH TDI installed in my Vanagon. I am getting an RPM signal for the stock tach from the ECU directly. It is only accurate at cruising rpm though. Faster or slower it is off some compared to my scan gauge. The trick and I can't explain it, is using a tach from an early van vs the later. I believe the later digifant 2 sent a different rpm signal for the tach. I learned this by trying to use the later tach, but ended up trading my tach for an earlier one.

I'm most of the way through fitting one of syncroandys dash pods, it's really nice and you get accurate rpm as it's straight from the ecu.

I've just had the reply from yourself on the TDI Facebook page ... Looks very nice, but will have to wait until next year now after the cost of the conversion.. I'd love to see some pics of your intercooler set up

yes I have TDI .. Phil miller did a cracking job but I'd kind of like to move the intercooler into the engine bay as its mounted under the body fixed to the prop protection bars ... Loads of air flow but should I ever go off road I can't see it lasting very long ( not that I really ever go off roading)
