repairs to a painted EMC high top roof

Post by Wedgiebaby »

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how's best to repair a small dink in an EMC high top roof? I thought they were fibreglass, but hubby says it's quite thin for fibreglass, so not 100% sure what the material actually is, would anyone know? It has an old repair on top and whoever did it has used some sort of flexible rubber type sealant. The small hole/crack we have found is on the side and its about 1.5cm long. The roof has been lightly painted over at some point. Any suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated!

Here you go. The ones of the top were taken from the upstairs window so not great, but hopefully you can see the repair. Looks a bit rough, but does the job and doesn't leak water (tested it with a hosepipe yesterday) Couldn't get to the small crack/hole that needs patching as its on the side next to the hedge! Can take one later when we have moved the cars round if you would like to see that as well.

Thanks for having a look MM ! :ok

the hole on top, hack the crap out the way and repair with fine fibreglass or get some p40 or equivalent and a thin skim over then use filler
