RM 212F fridge reigniter.

Post by meggles »

The reigniter on my fridge clicks about once every 20 seconds or so. This is not correct (thanks to kind members who advised me in general chat). The igniter on this is operated by a rocker switch with a neon inside which should click repeatedly until the flame is lit and then stop clicking. My query is: Can I disconnect that system and use a simple push button igniter as used on similar fridges instead? Or better still is there a fix for mine? A replacement which is similar is around £100  I have access to equipment to make up a bracket, it's just the electrical side of things I'm not sure about. Many thanks for any advice.

Thank you for replies. It was the box full of gubbings I needed. The black box screwed to the top of the fridge. I've replaced it with a simple push button type now. Works great. I'd still like to get a like for like replacement some time but no rush now. Thanks again for taking the trouble. :ok
