Dashboard!!

Post by fastygaz »

Hi all,
Just driven home from a nightshift and had no dash lights, no temp gauge, no fuel gauge, no rev counter, no indicator lights...in fact, just the speedo was working!! I've not had this van long, and it has intermittently flashed the oil light and buzzed at me since I got it!!
It is the first time I've driven it so early in the morning and it is very foggy and damp today...could it be damp that's the issue, or something more sinister?!
Any help very gratefully received as always!!
Thanks
Gaz

First thing to check is the multiconnector is fully connected - the speedo is the only thing that doesnt rely on it. two hands behind the dash cover, feel the two indents and pull up & towards you to yank it off...

The oil light and buzzer are another possibly more worrying thing...

Thanks for the reply!!
Must've been some damp in there from condensation because after getting home from work having had nothing working all the way home, I got the dogs in the van to drive them to their morning walk, had the heater on to keep the windscreen clear and it started coming back to life one thing at a time starting with the fuel gauge!! I will have a good look inside there and make sure everything's properly connected!!
