radiator fan

Post by JimmyT25 »

I believe I have an early 200/300w single speed fan. I have been offered a later 500w fan with cowling, is it worth changing it and if so is there anything else needed to do it?

petrol and 1.6 non turbo diesel vans have the same fan

1.7d and 1.6td vans have the bigger fan

there is no direct need for the bigger fan on a standard vehicle unless you have other problems

you can fit the later fan but you will also need the wiring loom and possibly the fan switch

also note there is a direct power cable to the battey with the larger fans , standard fans and the slow speed on the larger fan is powered from the fuse box
