Stubborn start when hot.

Post by jasd1978 »

Hi all, recently had a new thermostat and housing and ever since the bus is a bugger to get started when at operating temperature. It starts spot on from cold, but if I go for a spin and say call in for a paper it then won't start. It turns over, and takes several turns of the key before it will go. Could the battery be on its way out? Just seems strange that it's started after the new thermostat. Cheers all :ok

Weak mixture/over fueling will cause poor hot starting
Check for air leaks/choke is fully off
foot to the floor whilst cranking a hot engine is the official instruction.

try pumping the pedal a couple of times before you try.
Let us know how you get on with that

Thanks, I will give a once over. I haven't been out in it today, but will use it this week.
