accelerator cable help plz

Just found my accelerator cable has been joined near the carb with an electrical jointing block .i have new cable but it looks a nightmare to fit so any tips would be helpful .I can't even get my hand in to the space to undo the little nut at the front !
1.9df petrol water cooled 1982 built registered 84 ,
If it aint broke don`t fix it !

I done mine earlier this year and it's not that difficult really, mine took about 3hrs bc I drink tea and getn the wire thru the sleeves at the petrol tank was 'fiddly' lol
My old cable had unwound itself and was jamming in it's sheath, good luck.

Not sure if it is in the wiki, but I found taking the O/S/F indicator out let me get one hand through the hole and one hand under the van to get at it. There was just enough room to see what I was doing through the indicator 'hole' as well. HTH, Bri

There are quite a few variations on left hand right hand diesel petrol etc, get it from brickwerks otherwise you will probably be going back and forth to the likes of GSF trying to get the right one.
