im after a set of captain seats and wondered if anyone could advise me on what fits and what doesn't please , I understand i'll have to mess around with runners etc , I was looking at these

For that price I would be looking for original from a Carravelle etc, within reason anything can be made to fit depending on your welding skills.

Look for flat bottomed seats and you will need some runners from the standard ones.

It's not difficult to fit armrests from a VW Sharan or Ford Galaxy if that is all you want to achieve & you should get them from a scrapper for a tenner.

Sorry, but does this imply that I could in fact retro-fit arms onto my existing T25 Vanagon seats? If so, how would I go about doing that.

You would need to make a 10mm spacer for each seat armrest, I used 2 blocks 10 x25 x 50mm of steel,(I only did driver's seat) with a tapped hole for the armrest to screw into & 2 clear holes for fixing to the seat frame. It's difficult to describe how to do it but obvious when you take the donor ones off their seat & slide the cover up on the backrest to gain access to the side frames of your own seat.
