Gear selecting

Hey guys just gone to my van to try and reverse it off the drive and can't select 1st or reverse.

1st gear is a dog-leg and reverse is left and up. I can get it in the other 4 gears...

Anyone got any tips of what this could be...?

Should probably say it's a 1990 1z conversion...

Hey guys can anyone offer any help on this - van is still stranded on the drive.

Changed the gear selector bushes at the front end but no change. Managed to move the van off the driveway and it moves in any gear except first and reverse.

Can anyone help...?
