Hi folk,
I am trying to find out what engine I have actually got in my van, I bought it as an AAZ from a damaged Golf but when we tried to fit it the holes in the block for the engine mount were in the wrong place and so the mount for the AAZ would not fit,I needed to have an engine mount custom made in order to fit the engine, I have been told the engine number is on the block below injector three, but I cannot see it, however there is a number under injector four on the block, it is 07D94, there is a number on the strip which connects the heater plugs below injector three, it is AUK068971095BDB, I don't know which is the engine number. I sent a picture of the engine mount which had been on the engine to Brickwerks and they said they thought it came from an Audi but had never seen one like it before, I would love to know what engine I have , can anyone help?

get a pic or three up is your best bet, somebody will I'm sure recognise it, lots of engine geeks on here
