Does anyone know anything about cooker hoods, or rather the motors in them? Ours was working fine and was switched off after a bit of food cremation. Next time we switched it on nothing happened. Is there a chance it's the capacitor? Is there a way to test the motor without the capacitor, or vice versa. It's a cheap B&Q one so I can't find a make on it. The difficult bit is that it is built in so I'm rather hoping for a repair, rather than replacement. The cost isn't a problem, or an issue. I just don't want to start stripping part of the kitchen out. I am aware of the dangers with electrickery! Thanks in advance folks.
