linkage issue

HI ,

i've been carrying out a 2.1 dj to gti conversion.

i have fitted the diesel bellhousing and diesel gearbox mount.
but now the linkage bars do not line up.
it looks like it will hit the rear chassis brace .

are the 5 speed diesel bars different to the petrol ones ? ( should the rear one have a step in it )
if so , would i need both or just the rear ?

i've spoken to a t25 breaker who said they were the same .
and would anyone have some ?
im desperate to get the bus running before the end of the month

rear linkage bar is diesel or petrol specific as is the cup, syncro ones are fuel and syncro specific; in 2wd the gearbox sits higher in the chassis in the diesel/inline 4 with diesel bellhousing installation - when removing gearbox need to lift back of engine to avoid damaging the input shaft in the spigot bearing
