Pump leak

I have a small leak at the front end of my pump where the four injector pipes exit it. Well to be precise it is at the rear of the front block if that makes sense. Am just wondering if anyone has changed this seal or how difficult is it, where to start etc....

Ask on http://www.vwdiesel.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...when you loosen the bolts your'll most likely have the insides fall out of place!!

Thanks for the link, some sound advice on there, and a possible way of replacing the seal without taking the pump off, heads a mess with this at the moment, need to do more research before deciding best course of action

I bought a pump to practice on...it helped me to see the insides!

Ha I had already had the top of this pump off to replace a seal, it was daunting but good experience. Took everything out cleaned it all up and back together no issues. Now this happens and i think not such an easy doer?

Yeah thanks, i saw this yesterday in my search for greater wisdom, best vid so far, but am looking to see if i can really do with pump still attached to motor.
