overheating-oil in water
my brother has a 1.6d camper and has had had overheating problems for a while but we went on a long journey last week and things got bad. there is a lot of oil in the coolant and 3 pipes have split i think possibly due to oil contaminating the water pipes and casing them to split when they get hot and under pressure. the engine seems to run fine (for a 1.6d anyway). im thinking a crack in the head causing oil to get into a waterway. Ayone know of other possible causes?

Re: overheating-oil in water
Oil cooler on the top of the oil filter is a common cause.
