Re: brake judder
I had the same issue after rebuilding the rear brakes including fitting new Febi drums. I put the old drums back on and the pulsing went away. I Sent the new drums back and they refunding me.

Re: brake judder
Same here, new drums but....heavy pulsing. I ended up changing just the one, after clamping off the flexi lines one at a time.
However, two years on and at times I can still feel a very slight action in the pedal..no complaints as it is very slight.

I clamped mine too. One was worse than the other but neither was acceptable so I returned both.
What brand did you use?

Not sure now TBH, it wouldn't be fair to guess, however, brakes do tend to be one of those things that must be a quality brand otherwise you will have problems.
Look for Brembo/ATE/Jurid

Re: brake judder
So what is causing this as it isn't the first time that I have heard of this. Far Eastern cheapies masquerading as well known and formerly trusted makes? Cheap recycled metal with stresses in the metal that are distorting them as soon as some heat from braking is applied?

I think you are right....trusted brands seem to be out sourcing supply and quality has declined. Companies trade and source globally so we can no longer count on a particular brand being manufactured in its country of origin, where perhaps quality control is more stringent.
I despair sometimes at the level of returns/faulty goods...I'm sure it was never this bad..lol rose tinted specs perhaps.
