Jx diesel flywheel torque question.
Just installed a new JX engine and was paranoid about my flywheel torque. The Bentley manual says 75 Nm (54 ft ib) for diesel. But the gas engine says 60 Nm (44 ft lbs) plus 90 degrees. Does anyone know why the gas engine has the extra 90 degrees and the diesel doesn't? Or did I just miss it in the manual somewhere? I did replace my bolts with new presealed ones, with a little extra sealant for good luck. But I am still paranoid due to a flywheel coming loose on my 74 Ghia years back. If anyone has some guidance I would appreciate it.

Re: Jx diesel flywheel torque question.
I used n 902 061 03 as I said I did mine to 54ft lb but I found out later they should be; 22ft lb then 44ft lb then 90 deg !!!
But after 50,000miles when I had to remove them they were still tight.
