JX fuel injector pump issue

Post by MrCrowley »

So after a trouble free year with my van it suddenly won't start. After a bit of investigation it looks like the problem is with the fuel injector pump, there's not enough pressure coming through to open the injectors. Can anyone offer suggestions as to where to source a new pump, or if that's not possible, where to have the current one reconditioned?

Thanks.

Have you checked the pump timing?
Correct way is with a dial test indicator (dti)
On a 1.6td it should be 1mm lift at tdc
Vw Vanagon Westfalia Hitop 1.6td always poorley ;)

Just been down this route. Bought a cheap replacement off a guy on the T25 facebook forum. It wasnt any good.
Ended up paying the £299 off T25 direct with a year warranty.

Suggest you see if you can fix yours as it aint cheap.

I have a gasket set FOC if it helps and you need it.

Just let me know
