Tinware

Post by mrbodly »

Hi All

I'm currently renovating the tinware on my Aircooled 2l T25 and I'm sourcing replacements for a few pieces that are beyond repair.

Does anyone know the purpose of part 1 in the diagram below? This piece I don't have at all.

Cheers
Myles

Hello,

That is the heat deflector for the exhaust.

Not vital... unfortunately made of 'Unobtanium alloy'

But it does have a function....

It is only a plate with a 'U' shape bracket..

One of these days I'll get round to making some of these bits...

Paint and shine please....

A clean and shiny air cooled ...is a happy motor.. 8)

Take your time..

Have fun....its a VW Aircooled thing.. :)

Cordialement,

:ok
