Diesel Injectors Leaking

Post by Daveyh70 »

Hi,

Can anybody help?

It looks like I have 2 leaky diesel injectors. Is it likely that the leaks are coming from the rubber hoses that daisy chain between each cylinder?

If so will replacing the hoses cure the problem?

Thanks

David

if its coming from the hose then yes. Nice easy job really, just get good quality hose.

Thanks for the comment...

Looks like it is, hard to see really as it is vibrating and hot... I don't really understand how injectors work, I wanted to make sure it was a possibility before I go ahead...

It seems to be very hit and miss with the leak off pipe like petrol piping. Some people are for ever replacing them others just the once.

it goes against everything i believe in, but so far halfords own make has lasted the longest  I think brickwerks now sell the top spec stuff, but it can be got somewhere local to you i would have thought..
if the braided hose is wet, it's likely to be the hose.

I would just replace the leak off pipes anyway, nice and cheap and worth doing anyway. If they don't work it's a couple of quid.
